Dear Reader,
Giving birth is supposed to be one of the most memorable events of your life, but for me, it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. My doctor was amazing. The nursing staff was quite the opposite; they did not take my concerns seriously. My daughter's heart rate dropped so low until she almost died. I developed a deadly infection. Post-delivery, my nurse was extremely racist. She didn't bring my medications on time. She allowed me to be in pain for hours before I called patient advocacy.
