The Just-Us Initiative Mission
The Just-Us Initiative Mission is to create a space for and by Black girls and women. This is a space that seeks to center the lives and experiences of Black girls and women in all of the content that we create and the resources that we provide. We hope Black girls of all backgrounds feel included, supported, and connected. We also aim for this space to provide girls of color girls with valuable resources and tools to navigate their complex lives in America, in addition to providing them with a supportive community that understands their experiences.
My Reason Why . . .
“This space was created for Black girls to have a community to celebrate their identity, authenticity, and fullness. This space is for us to reconcile with the good, the bad, and the ugly. I wanted Black girls to find a space where their experiences were realistically represented and they could find resources that aligned with their needs. I believe that our freedom lies in our knowledge and celebration of our power and identity. I hope this platform provides Black girls with a space to explore that freedom and dream of liberation. This is for us and by us.”

This page will serve as a place to discuss the best ways to take care of your hair, skin, and body! Girls can find resources tailored to their specific skin and hair type. We also share some of our favorite products.
HEALTH.
This page will discuss the importance of preserving the mental and physical health of Black girls. Readers can also hear stories of how Black girls have been mistreated in the health care system.
BLACK CREATIVES.
This page will serve as a place to display, celebrate, collaborate with Black girls and women. As well as provide resources for these artists in all forms, whether it be visual or performing arts.
ALLY SUPPORT.
This page will serve as a place to educate allies on the best ways to support and uplift Black girls and women. Here, allies can learn what solidarity looks like in action.
